Obituary

On September 15, 2022, William "Billy" Edward Starcher, Jr. was unexpectedly called home to be with the Lord. Billy was 61 years old. He passed away at Akron city hospital in Akron, OH.

He was born July 31, 1961 in Spencer, WV. He shared his birthday with his daughter, Michelle. Although he resided in Akron, OH for 30+ years, Spencer West Virginia was the place he called home.

He will always be known and remembered by many for his passion for old Mopars. He was always either talking about one, trying to find one or restoring one. Everyone always knew if they had a question or needed a part, he was the guy you went to. He was a very talented, knowledgeable man and could fix just about any issue with a vehicle.
Billy loved going to car shows, singing karaoke, driving around any back road looking for an old car, traveling to West Virginia to visit family, frequenting restaurants such as Farmer Boy and Winks Drive In with friends and family and just spending time with anyone that wanted to stop in and talk.
He had a wonderful sense of humor and was always able to make you laugh. He kept an open door policy and was always welcome to have any friend or family member stay at his home as long as they wanted.
He was the son of the late Emogene Crihfield and William E. Starcher, Sr.
Left behind to cherish his memory, is his wife of 34 years, Kathy Cain Starcher of Akron, OH, daughter Michelle Rhodes (Chris) of Navarre, OH formerly of Spencer, WV; three grandchildren, Rilie, Wade and Dalton Rhodes; five brothers, Mark Starcher (Bobbie Jo), Luke, Matt, John all of Spencer and Harold Dean Starcher of Akron, OH. He also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and special friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his step- mother, Shirley Miller Starcher; step-father Rex Phillips, two sisters Tammy Denise Starcher and Gina Hunt; and brother, Jeff Starcher.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 24, 2022 at Craig Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV.
