William Edward Cox Sr., 86 of Gandeeville, WV passed away on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.
Ed was retired from the Laborers Local Union. He enjoyed farming and being with his family. He was born on August 1, 1935 in Vicars, WV., son of the late Howard R. and Goldie G. Cox.
He is survived by his wife, Octava P. Cox of 63 years; his son, William E. Cox Jr. (Paula) of Gandeeville; his daughter, Linda L. Smith (Gilbert) of Gandeeville; and son, Danny A. Cox
(Monica) of Gandeeville; brothers Robert, Ernest, and Richard Cox; sisters Rita McKown, Alice
Cox, and Lorraine Cox; seven grandchildren, and three great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by brothers; Mayford Cox, Roy Cox,
Raymond Cox, and Harold Cox.
Graveside service will be Saturday, October 9, 2021 at 10am at the Ferrell Cemetery, Vicars Ridge.
