VIRGINIA MAY SMITH, 80, of Looneyville, West Virginia, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2024 at St. Mary's Hospital in Huntington, West Virginia.
She was born May 10, 1944 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Samuel Wyatt Nichols and Betty Jane Greathouse Nichols.  She was a homemaker.
Virginia is survived by her daughters, Charlotte, Judy, Brenda, Linda, Belva Marie, and Nancy; her sons, Wyatt, George David, Steven Edward, and George J.; sister, Wanda; brothers, Stanley and Steve; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George G. Smith; brother, Garland "Peanut"; and sisters, Mary, Shirley, and two infants.
Service will be held at 1:00pm on Sunday, December 29, 2024 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia, with Pastor Danny Whited officiating.  Burial will follow in the Otto Cemetery near Spencer.  Visiting is one hour prior to the service on Sunday.
