Tracy Gene Harper, 56, of Ravenswood, WV, passed away December 28,2025 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV.

He was born January 27, 1969 in Ripley, a son of Oris and Johnnie Midcap Harper. He was an I.T. operator for the banking industry.  He worked for Traders Bank of Spencer, Poca Valley Bank of Walton, and ConServ of Spencer. He liked fishing, hunting, and cooking.  He enjoyed riding four wheelers and side-by-side's in the outdoors.

He was preceded in death by his father, Oris Harper.

Tracy is survived by his mother, Johnnie Midcap Harper; his significant other, Lea Smith; three daughters, Kendra Schoolcraft of Gandeeville, WV, Navaeh Hickman, and Dixie Hickman; two sisters, Angie St. Clair (Robert) of Gandeeville, and Shelia Short of Spencer; a twin brother, Stacy Dean Harper of Gandeeville, WV and a brother, Doug (Carla) Harper of South Carolina; and five grandchildren, Blake, Bella, Charlee "Abigail", Harley, and Cameron. Tracy is also survived by five nieces and nephews, Shane, Miranda, Dustin, Brandon, and Hannah.

Services will be at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 2, 2026 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with the Rev. Larry Jones officiating.  Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 PM on Friday with a burial to follow services in the Swank Cemetery.
