TONY LEE NICHOLS, 68, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, June 21, 2020 following a brief illness. He is survived by his wife Stella of Spencer; his son, Bryan (Ruth) of Rome, Ohio; his daughter, Heather of Spencer; and his grandson, Colten of Spencer. He is also survived by nine brothers and sisters as well as several nieces, nephews, and loved ones. He is preceded in death by his father and mother. Tony was born on June 9, 1952 in Clio, West Virginia to parents, Roy and Melba. He graduated from Walton High School in 1969. In 1977 he began working at Pennzoil in Spencer and retired from the company in 2015. He also had Nichols Pump Repair which he started in 1993. Tony was a great family man and a loving father and grandfather. He and Stella were married for 49 ½ years. He had a smile that could light any room. He always said if he could not be remembered for his smile, he should not be remembered at all. Per Tony's final wishes, his body was cremated. A memorial service will be scheduled at a future date. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
