Thomas David (Butch) Deel, 75, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away on November 30, 2025 at home.

He was born May 20, 1950 in Spencer, a son of the late William Thomas and Pauline Lucille Bullis Deel. He was a general laborer.  He enjoyed playing horse shoes, coloring, drawing sunflowers, and fishing.  He loved talking with his best friend, Mary Simonds, and watching westerns and game shows.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Donald Deel and Steve Deel; and two sisters, Ruth Turrentine and RoseMary Detweiler.

Butch is survived by his caretakers, Anita Deel Jarvis a niece, and a niece Melissa and nephew Donald Norris; sister-in-law, Helen Deel; nephew Bill Deel and his wife Cheteah; and many nieces and nephews that loved him.

Services will be at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 4, 2025 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Charlie White officiating. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.  Burial will be in the Simmons Cemetery near Clover.
