STEVIE ALLEN KYER, 62, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2020 at home. He was born January 9, 1958 in Wirt County, a son of the late Stanley and Maysel Parsons Kyer. He was employed by Roy G. Hildreth and Son for over 25 years, loved cattle and farming, and enjoyed camping, hunting, and fishing. Steve is survived by his wife, Peggy Kyer; sons, Josh (Sarah) Kyer of Ripley, West Virginia and Allen (Mandy) Kyer of Spencer; step-son, Joey Kyer of Spencer; sister, Deloris Murray of Palestine, West Virginia; a sister-in-law, Diane Kyer of Spencer; three grandchildren, Clara, Hadley, and Ali Kyer; and step-grandchildren, Angie, Zachery, J.D., and Clarissa. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, David Kyer; a grandson, Colby Kyer; and a step-granddaughter, Marissa Kyer. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, August 24, 2020 at the Good Hope Cemetery near Reedy, West Virginia with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Anyone who wishes to attend should bring their own chair Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
