SHIRLEY MAE WEBB, 78, of Spencer, passed away on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at home. She was born March 13, 1942 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Burley J. and Zanna Starcher Carpenter. She formerly worked at Kellwood, Norris Industries, and was a homemaker. Shirley is survived by her children, Freddy Jr. Webb, Burley R. Webb, Chris E. Webb, Diane D. Cook, Arnold Jr. Dobbins, and Kimberly D. Delaney; her grandchildren, Adam, Jason, Kelly, and Chris Webb, Jr., Tara Dobbins, Tory and Tommy Cook, Brooklyn, Emily, Dylan, and Chelsie Dobbins, and Kiersten, Karissa, and Kiera Delaney; and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her sisters, Florence Schreckengost, Mary Carpenter, Matelene Carpenter, Irene Frances Carpenter, and Barcelene Atkinson; brothers, Edward, Earlene, and Ray Carpenter; grandchildren, Jonathan Allan and Burley Jr. Webb; and also Freddy R. Webb and Arnold Jr. Dobbins. A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Monday, May 11, 2020 at the Short Cemetery on Egypt Ridge. There will be no visitation or service at the funeral home. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
