SHIRLEY JEAN McCUNE, 73, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at home.
She was born June 20, 1947 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Cecil and Wavie Phillips Rhodes. She was formerly employed at Kellwood Company and most recently at Roane General Medical Clinic.
Shirley is survived by her husband, H. Stephen McCune; her children, Kimberly (R.J.) Dobbins of Spencer, James McCune of Spencer, and Tim (Morgan) McCune of Reedy, West Virginia; her brother, Terry Rhodes of Moorefield, West Virginia; grandchildren, Cole, Levi, and Grace Drake McCune, Brooklyn Payne, and Emily, Dylan, and Chelsie Dobbins; and great-grandchildren, Dixie and and one on the way, Dallas.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Dawn McCune; and her siblings, Eugene, Dorcas, Hazel, Janie, and William.
Service will be held at 10:00am on Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor Randy Whited officiating. Burial will follow in the Slate/Bowers Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting will be Tuesday from 4:00 to 6:00pm at the funeral home.
