Sharon Greathouse, 69, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022 in the comfort of her own home after an extended battle of dementia.

She was born April 13th, 1953 in Akron, Ohio.

She was a strong willed and independent woman. She may have been taken over by her dementia but she fought it as a courageous warrior for many years. She loved her daughter, siblings, grandchildren, and all seven of her great-grandchildren, always being a big family person with an even bigger heart.

This unique woman was preceded in death by her parents, Gail Gene and Madge Bailey Greathouse; two brothers, Amos and David Greathouse; and two sisters, Molly Caldwell and Charlotte Myers.

Sharon is survived by her daughter Helen (Jerry) Crihfield; four brothers, Dean (Darlena), Ronnie, Charles (Tammy) and Richard Greathouse all of Spencer; one sister, Connie (Paul) Burdette of Spencer; four grandchildren, Jerry (Chelsey) Crihfield Jr. , Isaiah (Meghan) Crihfield, Hannah Crihfield, and Madison Crihfield all of Spencer; seven great- grandchildren, Isaiah Crihfield Jr., Bryna Crihfield, Elijah Crihfield, Brantley Crihfield, Kylar Crihfield, Xavier Crihfield, and Josiah Crihfield all of Spencer; many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:00 p.m. ~ Saturday, July 23, 2022 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV. Burial will follow at Slate/Bowers Cemetery in Spencer, WV. Visitation will be from 12-2:00 p.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
