Ruth Nichols, 82, of Spencer, WV passed away May 21, 2022 at Roane General Hospital in Spencer, WV.

She was born November 16, 1939 in Spencer, WV and is the daughter of the late Russell and Ethel Alderman Hosey.

Ruth had worked for Nichols Transport and was a homemaker. She loved quilting and spending time with her family and friends. Ruth enjoyed doing word searches and crossword puzzles.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are two siblings, Peggy Martin of Reedy, WV and Bill Hosey of Elyria, OH; two very special care takers, Jeff and Lora Welch of Spencer; three grandchildren; three honorary grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred "Big Pete" Nichols; two sons, Alfred "Pete" Nichols Jr. and Bill Nichols; and nine siblings, David, Charles, Clarence, Emmie, Paul, Delbert, Rosie, Russell and Bobby.

A graveside will take place 1:00 P.M.~ Saturday, June 4, 2022 at Otto Cemetery for Ruth and Pete Nichols with Pastor Danny Whited officiating.
