Ruby Hazel Carpenter, 79, of Spencer, WV passed away January 27, 2023 at her residence.

She was born January 25, 1944 in Panther, WV and was the daughter of the late William and Mabel Lee.

She had worked several years in a sewing factory in Virginia. She loved her cat "Tom Puss," watching tv, westerns, Gunsmoke, game shows and solving crossword puzzles.

Left behind to cherish her memory, is her son, Mark Carpenter (fiancé, Vicki) of Spencer; half son, John Blankenship of Rocky Gap, VA; sister, Ina Prader of TN; brothers, Jimmy Lee of Chicago, IL and Marshall Lee of VA; many grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert Carpenter; daughters, Della Carpenter and Lisa Elliott; and son, William Carpenter.
