ROSE LEE WRIGHT, 80, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer. She was born February 7, 1937 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Earl and Opal Hutchinson Nida. She formerly worked at the Grandview Motel, Gordon's Nursing Home, and was a homemaker. Rose is survived by a daughter, Vicky Lynn Boggs of Tariff, West Virginia; a son, Jack W. Wright of Spencer; two sisters, Jewell and Carol Ann; three brothers, Roy, Charles, and Junior; three grandchildren; Brandi Roton of Tariff, David Wright of Columbus, OH, and Elizabeth Wright Griffin of Spencer; and three great-grandchildren; Alexa Roton of Spencer, Dawson Roton of Tariff, and Gunner Griffin of Spencer. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Vernon Wright in 1991 ; one brother, Hollie Nida; and one sister, Loretta Lowers. Service will be at 4:00pm on Friday, October 20, 2017 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, with Pastor Bryan Funk officiating. Burial will follow in the Hodam Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting is one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
