ROSALEE MAE ASHMAN, 85, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Sunday, December 17, 2017 at Miletree Center in Spencer. She was born September 28, 1932 in Looneyville, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Glyde G. and Zella Mae Looney Edgell. She was a former secretary and draftswoman. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Marsha and Dan Hawe of Wisconsin; a son, Gregory Ashman of Looneyville; a sister, Phoebejean Griffith of Largo, Florida; and six grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Leon and an infant, Elton; and four sisters, Freda, Oreta, Joann and Carol. A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 22, 2017 at 7:00pm at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Elder Butch Conrad officiating. A burial will take place at the family cemetery at Looneyville at a later date.
