Roma Lee Whiting, 84, of Spencer, WV passed away July 11, 2026 at Roane General Hospital.

He was born on December 2, 1941, in Roane County, WV, and was the son of late Hershel and Edith (Tanner) Whiting. Roma was a true family man and loved spending time with his grandkids.

In addition to his family, he loved trout fishing, working on engines, and was a business owner for more than 30 years.

In addition to his parents, Roma was preceded in death by his brother, Steve Whiting and sister, Brenda Cain.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 57 years, Louise Whiting; daughter, Shannon (Kevin) Morris; son, Ronnie Whiting, all of Spencer, WV; sister, Linda (Charles) Stalnaker, of Palestine, WV; brother, Donzel (Patona) Whiting, of Sissonville, WV; grandchild, Kristin (John) Dunlap; greatgrandchildren, Renyn and Karver Dunlap.

A graveside service with Military Honors will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 25, 2026 at Hebron Cemetery.
