Roger "RJ" Lee Balser, Jr., 40, of Spencer, WV passed away in a sudden car accident on April 20, 2023 in Spencer.

He was born October 6, 1982 in Spencer and is the son of Roger Lee Balser, Sr. and the late Melody Rose Criner Balser.

Roger enjoyed fishing, spending time with family and visiting with his friends.

Left behind to cherish his memory, are his three siblings, Christopher Balser of Spencer, Angie Dean (Harvey) of Charleston, WV and Crystal Watson (Greg) of Spencer; his favorite person ever, Colby Carpenter of Spencer; two special friends, Jeremy Starcher (Abby) and Fester Harper (Jeanetta) both of Spencer; several nieces and nephews; and many friends whom he thought of as family.

In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by an infant sister, Teresa Balser.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 P.M. ~ Sunday, April 23, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Jackie Roberts officiating. He will be buried at a later date with his mother at Wolfe Cemetery in Roane County, WV.
