ROGER LEE GODFREY, JR., 44, of Spencer, West Virginia died November 3, 2019 at CAMC General after a brief illness. He was born May 23, 1975 in Calhoun County, West Virginia a son of the late Roger Lee Godfrey, Sr. and Edna Mae Wilson. He enjoyed tinkering with cars and fishing and spending time with his girls. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Franklin Sandy. Roger is survived by two daughters, Shyanne and Taylor Godfrey; two sisters, Brenda Godfrey and Mary Shaffer; two brothers, Jimmy Godfrey and James Nichols; and his maternal grandmother, Florence Sandy. His body was cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date at the discretion of his family. TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements. There will be no service or visitation at the funeral home.
