RODNEY DEAN O'BRIEN, 42, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, July 27, 2016. He was born October 2, 1973, a son of Dean O'Brien of Spencer and Sharon Anderson of Spencer. He was employed with Columbia Pipeline Group. In addition to his parents, Rodney is survived by his wife, Melissa Parsons O'Brien; a daughter at home, Bethany O'Brien; a sister and brother-in-law, Sara and Jay Jarvis of Spencer: a brother and sister-in-law, Randy and Milly O'Brien of Spencer; his step-father, Mark Anderson; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Eugene and Donna Parsons; a sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Michelle Parsons Watkins and Jeremy Watkins; his maternal grandfather, Dennie Cook; and many nieces and nephews. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Saturday, July 30, 2016 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. A private family burial will take place at a later date.
