Robert Lane Looney, 74, of Walton passed away from an extended illness on January 12, 2026.  Robert was born August 19, 1951 to the late Marvin & Blanche (Young) Looney.

He graduated from Herbert Hoover High School.  After graduation, he was drafted into the US Army. Robert retired from serving his country for over 20 years.  He loved his boys and family more than anything and enjoyed traveling, camping, and playing pranks on those he cared for.

Robert is survived by his wife of 53 years, Faye (Proctor) Looney; his children, Clifford L. Looney of Clendenin and Chris L. Looney (Wendy) of Walton; two granddaughters, Emma Looney of Walton and Samara Looney of Clendenin; a brother, Lawrence (Nancy) Looney of Walton.

He will be remembered by family and friends as a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend.  And will be deeply missed by so many, especially by those that loved him so much.

Per his request, there will be a graveside service on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 1:00pm at the Looney Cemetery in Walton, WV.
