ROBERT C. "BOB" DOOLITTLE, 93, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley, West Virginia. He was born June 17, 1926 in Reedy, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Vallie Bell, and his loving wife, Anna Mae (Phillips) Doolittle. He served in the Navy during World War II and graduated from West Virginia University in 1948. He married Anna Mae Phillips in 1949 and retired from General Motors in 1981. Bob is survived by three sons and their wives: John and Naomi Doolittle of Charleston, West Virginia, Robert, Jr. and Violet Doolittle of Beckley, West Virginia, and Russell and Jackie Doolittle of Roanoke, Virginia; nine grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Friday, December 13, 2019 from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, West Virginia. The funeral will follow immediately at 12:00pm at the funeral home with Minister Gene Miller officiating. Burial will follow at the Good Hope Cemetery near Reedy.
