Richard Allen Kendall, 60, of Ona, WV formerly of Spencer, WV passed away March 12, 2023 at Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House in Huntington, WV after an extended illness.

He was born July 14, 1962 in Spencer and was the son of the late John Richard and Evelyn Elizabeth Argabrite Kendall.

Richard had worked as a band director and music teacher; he loved teaching children and had finished his career teaching in Kanawha County at Allen Creek, Midland Trail and Grandview Elementary Schools. He loved music and spending time with his family and friends.

Left behind to cherish his memory, is his husband, John "Marty" Thacker of Ona, WV; three sons, Brandon, J.T., and John Kendall of near Pittsburgh, PA; brother, James "Bubba" Kendall (Sheila) of Spencer; and three granddaughters, Aubrey, Lily and Violet Kendall.

A graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Saturday, March 18, 2023 at Hodam Cemetery near Reedy, WV with Pastor Larry Greathouse officiating.
