Ralph Edwin Powell, 80, of Spencer, WV, passed away on July 11, 2026, at his home.

Born on November 23, 1945, he was the son of the late Edwin Leon & Golda June Powell.

Ralph enjoyed golfing, watching his grandkids play sports, and was a Vietnam Veteran as an Army Airborne Ranger.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Margaret Tyson, Ruth Ann Thompson, and three brothers, John Powell, Joe Powell, and Jerry Powell.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Barbara Powell of Spencer, WV; three sons, Daniel (Elliot) Powell  of Spencer, WV, Bret Alan (Jill) Powell of Waverly, WV, and Jason Andrew (Connie) Powell of The Villages, FL; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Noah Powell;  many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life is set for Monday, July 20, 2026, at 2:00 p.m., with visitation at 1:00 p.m. until time of service at Taylor‑Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV.
