PEGGY LYNN KYER, 62, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2021 at home.

She was born October 24, 1958 in Charleston, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Roy Warren and Vera Jeanne Dobson Sovine. She formerly worked at B.F. Goodrich and was a well-tender for Roy G. Hildreth and Son.

Peggy is survived by her son, Joey (Patricia) Kyer of Spencer; step-sons, Josh (Sarah) Kyer of Ripley, West Virginia and Allen (Mandy) Kyer of Spencer; sisters, Joanna Hein of Nitro, West Virginia, Susan Clark of Poca, West Virginia, and Mary Batten of Charleston, West Virginia; brother, Steven (Kim) Sovine of Montross, Virginia; grandchildren, J.D., Clarissa, Sydney, Brooke, Briar, Nicholas, Angela, and Zachery; and step-grandchildren, Clara, Hadley, and Ali.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Stevie Kyer; daughter, Amy Lynn Kyer Cummings; son, Michael Kyer; granddaughter, Marissa Kyer; step-grandson, Colby Kyer; and a brother, Roy Warren Sovine, Jr..

A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm Wednesday, March 10, 2021 at the Good Hope Cemetery near Reedy, West Virginia, with Pastor Rick Perrine officiating. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the cemetery. Anyone who wishes to attend should bring their own chair and there will be a meal and time of fellowship after the service at the Reedy Community Building.
