OLEN E. GANDEE, 83, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away July 20, 2017 after an extended illness. He was born February 2, 1934, a son of the late Francis Olen Gandee and Bessie Reynolds Hunt. Olen graduated from Spencer High School where he was active in the FFA. He was an Army veteran and an avid hunter and fisherman who truly enjoyed the outdoors and family and friends. He is survived by his long time fianc, Alice Cox of Harmony, West Virginia; three sons, David Gandee of Clarksburg, West Virginia and Mike and Jim Gandee, both of Spencer; a daughter, Jenifer Barker of Spencer; six grandchildren and multiple great-grandchildren. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no service or visitation as he will be cremated and his ashes buried at the Ferrell Cemetery in Harmony. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
