Nicole Barker, 43, of Spencer, West Virginia, was called to her heavenly home on April 27, 2026, where she now rests in peace with her Lord and Savior. She was a devoted wife to Eric Barker and a loving, proud mother to her son, Maddox Barker. Maddox was her greatest joy and the very center of her world. Her family was her heart and soul and she poured herself into them with a steady love that will never fade. Nicole was known for her kind spirit and humble heart, she had a way of making others feel seen, heard, and deeply loved. There was a light within her and a spirit so big and genuine that people couldn't help but be drawn to her

She found joy in life's simple, meaningful moments. She loved baking for the people she cared about, filling her home with warmth and sweetness that reflected her heart. Music was always close to her, a quiet companion that lifted her spirit and brought comfort. She was drawn to sunshine, to the peace of hiking trails and the beauty of nature, where she felt most at ease. Whether curled up with a good book or sharing a favorite movie, she treasured those small, intentional moments that made life feel full. These were the pieces of her that made her not only deeply loved, but deeply known.

She was born on September 9, 1982, in Bethesda, Maryland. She was the daughter of the late Darris Harper and late stepfather Randy Lockhart. She is survived by her adoptive father,  David Osborne (Judy), and her mother Anita Lockhart (Jeff Smith). She is also survived by mother-in-law; Lisa Craig, Father-in-law; Brian Barker (Joyce), Sister-in-law; Meagan Freeland Sister; Kayla Watson (Ryan), Nephews; Rhett and Beau Freeland, Nieces; Mya Freeland, Sophia, Eliana, and Bria Watson.

Services will be held at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with visitation from 9:00 A.M to 11:00 A.M and Funeral service at 11:00 A.M on Friday, May 1, 2026. Graveside service to follow.
