NAOMI JEAN WHITING, 68, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Saturday, December 17, 2022 at the Roane General Hospital in Spencer.
She was born August 9, 1954, a daughter of the late George and Mildred Fordyce Saunders. She was formerly employed at the Spencer State Hospital and lately as a teachers aide and secretary for the Roane County Board of Education and attended the Break Through Baptist Church near Spencer.
Naomi is survived by her husband of 50 years, Jack Whiting; daughters, Lori (Rob) Bumpus and Amy (Chad) Landis; sister, Judy (Fred) White; brothers, Jerry (Peggy) Saunders, Larry (Delores) Saunders, and Steve (Mary) Saunders; and seven grandchildren, Alyssa, Grace, Shane, Marissa, Tristan, Lacey and Tori.
Service will be at 1:00pm Thursday, December 22, 2022 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Phillip Linger officiating. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. After the service per Naomi's wishes, she will be cremated.
