Nancy Jane Barnhouse, 80, of Spencer, WV passed away August 18, 2024 at Miletree in Spencer.

She was born April 9, 1944 in Akron, OH and was the daughter of Carter and Anna Marie Scharnsky Moss.

Nancy had retired from both DHHR and Dollar General. She enjoyed crocheting, crafting, reading and spending time with her family.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her daughter, Penny Chapman (Joseph) of Spencer; step-daughter, Tammie Rauch (Steven) of Gilbert, SC; two grandchildren, Megan Tawney (Jimmy) of Chloe, WV and Christina Green (Kevin) of Spencer; and three step-grandchildren, Travis Hartley, Kimberly and Kelly Rauch all of SC; and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George Barnhouse; and three brothers, Phillip, Walter and Teddy Moss.

There will be no services at this time. She will be buried at Clover Cemetery in Roane County, WV at a later date.
