MICHAEL ANDREW CARPENTER, 29, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away due to injuries sustained in a car accident on July 27, 2017. He was born June 13, 1988 in Spencer to William (Willy) Carpenter and Trena Carpenter of Spencer. He was a derrick hand in the oil field industry. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a brother Billy (B.J.) Carpenter of Ravenswood, West Virginia; a son, Blake Carpenter of Ohio; a daughter, Brooklyn Carpenter of Spencer; the mother of his daughter Brooklym, Savannah Duncan of Spencer; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Billy J. Carpenter and Mary Carpenter Tanner; maternal grandmother, Erma Craft; uncle, Melvin Craft; and cousins Gabriel Whiting and Skylar Haynes. Service will be at 1:00pm Sunday, July 30, 2017 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Mike Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in the Gibson Cemetery near Arnoldsburg, West Virginia. Visiting will be one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donation be made to the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home, 206 Beauty Street, Spencer, WV 25276 for funeral expenses.
