Michael Neil Board, 83, of Spencer, WV passed away August 31, 2024 at CAMC Memorial in Charleston, WV.

Michael was born January 31, 1941 in Spencer and was the son of the late Olin and Ona Atkinson Board.

Michael retired from Bell Atlantic and was a United States Army veteran in the Army National Guard. He enjoyed camping with his friends, and spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Left behind to cherish his memory are his sons, Chad Board (Kimberly) of Elkview, WV and Jason McCoy of SC; two sisters, Joyce Donaldson of FL and Judy Flowers (Jerry) of SC; and three grandchildren, Caleb Satterfield, Connor and Katelyn Board.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael Neil Board, II.

Services will be 11:00 AM ~ Thursday, September 5, 2024 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home with Pastor Danny Whited officiating with burial to follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.
