MELINDA JEAN JONES, 82, of Cross Lanes, passed away on Saturday, July 5, 2025 at Mountain View Care Center in Ripley.
She was born March 12, 1943 in Spencer, a daughter of the late Milford and Pauline Miller.  She was a retired CNA, and enjoyed shopping.  She was a Methodist by faith.
Melinda is survived by her son Paul (Connie) Longfellow of Mt. Zion; sisters, Phyllis Milhoan of Reedy, Sue McKown of Spencer, and Debbie Marks of Arnoldsburg; brothers, Curtis Miller of Reedy, and Bill and Larry Miller, both of Spencer; granddaughter, Holly (Sean) Reger of Spencer; and honorary grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Denzil Jones;  brothers, Milford, Jr., Phil, Jack, Tommy, and Bob; and sisters, Mildred Ash, Pauline Lawson and her twin Madeline Fouty, Shirley Starcher, and infant twins, Janice and Jennifer Miller.
Service will be at noon on Tuesday, July 8, 2025 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Jack Roberts officiating.   Burial will follow in the Craig Hill Cemetery on Craig Ridge.  Visiting will be from 10:00am until time of the service on Tuesday.
