MAYSEL KYER, 83, of Leroy, West Virginia died September 25, 2016 at Eldercare of Ripley in Ripley, West Virginia. She was born March 12, 1933 in Calhoun County, West Virginia a daughter of the late Seldon and Lydia Rogers Parsons. She was a loving wife and mother, was a homemaker and a member of the Good Hope Baptist Church, Reedy, West Virginia. Maysel is survived by her husband of 62 years, Stanley Kyer; one daughter, Deloris Murray and her husband, Dwight of Palestine, West Virginia; one daughter-in-law, Diane Kyer of Spencer, West Virginia; one son, Steve Kyer and his wife, Peggy of Spencer; one sister, Goldie Jeffers and her husband, Paul of Canton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, David Lee Kyer; a sister, Bessie Kyer; and two brothers, Denver and Vear Parsons. Service will be at 2:00pm Thursday, September 29, 2016 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Wayne McGlothlin officiating. Burial will be in the Good Hope Cemetery. Visitation is two hours prior to the service at the funeral home on Thursday.
