Maxine Zelma Harper Keffer, 100, of Spencer, WV passed away February 17, 2023 in Glen, WV.

She was born July 11, 1922 in Jackson County, WV and was the daughter of the late Loren and Almeida Jones Johnson.

Maxine enjoyed hunting, gardening and canning.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her son, David Sam Harper (Betty) of Clendenin, WV; four grandchildren, Robbie Harper (Katie) of Savannah, GA, Amy Harper of Springfield, VA, Justin Harper (Jen) of Teays Valley, WV and Jamie Harper (Miranda) of WI; and special thanks to friend and caregiver, Lynn O'Dell of Glen, WV.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Clair Harper and Alva "Alvie" Keffer; two sons, Robert and James Roger Harper; and two grandsons, Mark and Jeff Harper.

A graveside service will take place at 11:00 A.M. ~ Friday, February 24, 2023 at the Clover Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV with Pastor Danny Whited officiating.
