Marlene Yvonne Caldwell, 86, of Looneyville, WV passed away March 29, 2023 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, WV.

Marlene was born January 29, 1937 in Braxton County, WV and was the daughter of the late Foster Snow and Lettie Mae Yeager Godfrey.

She was a supervisor at the Spencer State Hospital in Spencer, WV. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening, flowers, feeding her birds and spending time with her family and friends.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her daughters, Deanna Engle (Jack) of Left Hand, WV, Rhonda Jett of Spencer, Charlene Falls and Sharon Nichols (French) both of Looneyville; sons, Kenneth Caldwell of Spencer, Timothy Caldwell of Looneyville and Charles Caldwell (Debbie) of Spencer; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert L. "Stoney" Caldwell; son, Robert Caldwell; daughter, Patty Mann; and all eight of her brothers and sisters.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Monday, April 3, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with Pastor David Young officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
