Marie Greathouse, 70, of Oak Hill, WV formerly of Spencer, WV passed away December 19, 2023 at CAMC General in Charleston, WV.

Marie was born March 30, 1953 in Jackson County, WV and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Jay and Betty Irene Hosey Miller.

Marie was a homemaker and spent her life dedicated to taking care of her younger brother David. She loved attending church at Mt. Hope First Assembly of God. Marie enjoyed crocheting, camping, crafting, boating, showing horses and dirt track car races. Marie loved spending time with her grandbabies and her family. They were her whole world.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her three daughters, Sheila Williams (Steven) of Reedy, WV, Denise Ward (Michael) of Oak Hill and Bridget Buchannon (David) of Spencer; two sisters, Betty Greathouse and Elizabeth Rhodes both of Spencer; two brothers, Ricky Miller (Donna) of Marlington, WV and David Miller of Oak Hill; five grandchildren Traci Canaday (Michael), Kristen Derringer (Adam), Samantha Williams all of Oak Hill, McKenzee Buchannon of Spencer and Carlie Seeley (Fred) of Mooresville, NC; eight great-grandchildren, Easton, Adalynn, Avery, Austin, Noah, Jaxon, Josie and Jensen; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Harold Greathouse; her siblings, Erma Jean, Kenneth Miller, Jr., Ray, Robert, Charles, Peggy, Mary, Patsy, Roger and Johnny Miller.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Saturday, December 23, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home located at 206 Beauty Street Spencer, WV 25276 with Pastor Timothy Rutledge officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Ridge Cemetery in Roane County, WV. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
