Lowell Vaughn Cottrell, 82, of Spencer, WV, went home to be with his Lord on February 2, 2021.
He was born January 14, 1939 in Roane County and was a member of the Spencer Church of the Nazarene and retired from Kellwood Co. after 42 years.
He died at home after battling cancer, surrounded by his family, Lena, wife of 59 years, and children Susan, Richard, Jennifer, and John (Debbie). Also left behind are two grandchildren, Natasha (Zach) Cole and Alex Cottrell, one great grandchild Elysia Cole, two step grandsons Jason and Matthew Lesher and sisters Linda Liss, Brenda Dorsey, and Hazel Gandee.
He is preceded in death by his parents Hobert Lee and Ada Duffield Cottrell, sisters Mary Nichols and Janice Cottrell, brother Hershel Cottrell, and great granddaughter Thea Shae Cole.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Eventide Cemetery in Spencer with Pastor Brad Pettit officiating.
