LOREN LEE WHITING, 67, of Gay, West Virginia, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 at the Hubbard Hospice House in Charleston, West Virginia. He was born April 5, 1950 in Spencer, West Virginia, a son of the late Harold and Lillie Webb Whiting. He was a heavy equipment operator. He is survived by his wife, Marcia Rhodes; a son, Lonnie Deon Whiting of Pueblo, Colorado; a sister, Lavita Atkinson of Spencer; two brothers, Monte and Jack Whiting, both of Spencer; and two grandsons. A gathering of family and friends will be from 2:00 to 4:00pm on Saturday, June 10, 2017 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. After the gathering, per his request he will be cremated and buried at a later date at the Short Cemetery on Boggs Fork near Spencer.
