KATIE WATSON FISHER, 71, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, July 5, 2016 at her home. She was born August 20, 1944 in McCory County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Ada Daniels. She was a homemaker. Katie is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Tim Hickman of Spencer; a son and daughter-in-law, Arnold and Teresa Watson of Spencer; a daughter-in-law, Barb Watson of Spencer; a brother, Ale Watson of Monticello, Kentucky; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her son, Melvin Watson; her husband, Ray Watson; a brother, George Watson; and three sisters, Nettie Barnett, Molly Pearman, and Verdi Bryant. A service will be held at 1:00pm on Friday, July 8, 2016 at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor John Ellison officiating. Burial will follow in the Hodam Cemetery near Spencer. Visiting will be on Thursday from 6:00 to 8:00pm at the funeral home.
