JOY BETH SHORT BRYANT, 35, of Spencer, WV went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 6, 2016. She was born June 10, 1981 to Roy and Rose Short of Spencer. In addition to being survived by her parents, she is survived by her husband, Calvin Bryant; one grandmother, Emogene Sweeney of Clendenin, WV; two sisters, Margie Crawford (Tim) of Amma, WV and Cassie Short (Bryan) of Walton, WV. She is also survived by four nieces, Isabel and Emma Crawford, Briana Teel and Hannah Casto, and two nephews, Colton and Noah Casto, whom she loved dearly, her father and mother-in-law, Toney and JoAnn Bryant of Lizemore, WV; and two sisters-in-law, Shannon Bryant of Greensboro, NC and Michelle Bryant Casto (Tim) of Widen, WV. She is survived by a host of aunts, uncle, and cousins that she adored. Joy was a gifted writer and the family will treasure her work always. Her heart was as big as the world and she always thought of everyone before herself. She will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved her. Be happy and pain free, doll baby. We will love and miss you always. Joy's service will be Friday August 12, 2016 at 12 pm with visitation beginning at 11am at the Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Rev. Allen Jones officiating. Internment will be at the Jett Cemetery in Big Pigeon, WV.
