On December 19, 2023, John Pierce Hickman, 77, of Spencer, WV went home to be with his late wife Penny Patricia McKenzie Hickman.

He was born October 20, 1946 in Roane County, WV and was the son of the late John and Virginia Clute Hickman.

John enjoyed fishing, guns, trading and spending time with his grandkids and family.

Left behind to cherish his memory, are his children, John Hickman, II (Anette) of Ravenswood, WV, Melissa "Missy" Harper of Spencer, Lorii Mayne (John) of Ravenswood, and James Hickman of Spencer; grandchildren, Kendra, Josh, Johnny, Matt, Mikol, Carey, Madisson and McKenzie; and many great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Nick, Chuck, Frank, Bonnie and Judy.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Wednesday, December 27, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
