Jannie Othel Tawney, 89, of Newton passed away January 28, 2021 at Braxton County Memorial Hospital. She was born June 7, 1931 in Arkansas.

Jannie was a homemaker and enjoyed soap operas, Elvis and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Sam Tawney; a daughter, Mona Walker; and sister, Irene Sellers.

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her children, Shaun Tawney (Margarita) of Parkersburg, James Walker of Elkview, WV, Dustin Conley of Charleston, Drew and Keisha Walker both of Parkersburg, Misty Conley of St. Alban's, WV and Crystal Tawney of Newton, WV.

There will be a private service at the convenience of the family. Taylor- Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV is assisting the family with arrangements.
