JAMES ROSS NIDA, 86, of Walton, West Virginia died November 25, 2017 at the Florida Hospital in Kissimmee, Florida. Ross was born February 4, 1931 in Pad, West Virginia a son of the late Shirley William and Lora Jane Nichols Jett Nida. He was retired from Pennzoil and was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. He is survived by two sisters, Joyce Kiser of Walton and Pauline Higginbotham of Dupont City, West Virginia; one brother, Glenn Clifford Nida of Trinity, Florida. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Kay Daugherty Nida in 1990; two sisters, Chrystal Bernice Nida and Eupha Hoff; and two brothers, Harold and Leslie Nida. Service will be at 1:00pm on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, West Virginia with Rev. Jackie Roberts officiating. Burial will be in the Rocky Branch Cemetery, Walton. Visitation is two hours prior to the service on Saturday.
