HOLLIE V. NIDA, 71, of Looneyville, West Virginia, passed away on December 26, 2016 at Charleston Area Medical center's Memorial Division in Charleston, West Virginia. He was born July 3, 1945 in Sissonville, West Virginia, a son of the late Earl M. and Opal Fay Hutchison Nida. He was a former coal miner and construction worker and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Jennifer Marie Hershberger Nida; a sister, Rose Wright of Spencer, West Virginia; a brother, Roy Nida of Spencer; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rachel Taylor. His wish was to be cremated. There will be no viewing or visitation at the funeral home. A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date at the Hutchison Cemetery. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
