HAZEL ANITA BRANHAM GRADY, 86 passed from this life on November 21, 2016 after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. She was born in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Belvie and Fannie Garrett Branham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jackie B. Grady and a brother Delmar Wayne Branham. She was a member the Spencer Church of Christ. She worked for the Roane County Committee on Aging and volunteered in the Foster Grandparent Program at Building Blocks and Spencer Middle School. She is survived by her sister, Wanda Branham Graham of Kentucky; brother, Donald Branham of Tennessee; daughters Susan Proud of Charleston and Barbie Gail Grady Fetty of Spencer; daughter and caregiver of the past 12 years, Julie (Greg) Greathouse of Spencer; 6 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. A private service will be held for the family with burial in the Spencer Memorial Cemetery. TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements for the Grady family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the BackPack Program which helps provide food security and nutrition to students in Pre-K through 4th grade at BackPack Program - MUMC, 509 Market Street, Spencer, WV 25276.
