Harold Allen "Joe" Nichols, 71, of Spencer, WV passed away December 26, 2022 at CAMC in Charleston, WV.

He was born October 23, 1951 in Clay County, WV and was the son of the late Forrest and Mary Alderman Nichols.

Joe had owned his own timbering business and did foster care for many years. He enjoyed playing his guitar, bluegrass and gospel music. Joe loved fishing, working in his garage, telling jokes and spending time with his family and friends.

Left behind to cherish memory, is his wife, Sherri Reynolds Nichols of Spencer; seven children, Tammy Boggs (Richard) of Gandeeville, Johnny Legg (Cindy) of Charleston, Michelle Ganley (James Sr.) of Spencer, Robbie Nichols of Looneyville, Lakota, Rahmel and Maya Nichols all of Spencer; two sisters, Janey Keaton (Butch) of Newton and Jeanie Hawkins of Arnoldsburg; nine grandchildren, Justin Boggs (Lexie), Samantha Powell, Felicia Legg (Kevin), Shawnee Welch (Bruce), David Johnston, James and Tyler Ganley, Lee and Raina Burdette; 20 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Scott and Cinderella Cottrell Nichols; sister, Barbara Ball; infant granddaughter, Gabriella Lynch; granddaughter, Amanda Burdette; and two nephews, David and Rodney Ball.

Services will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Saturday, December 31, 2022 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with Pastor Robbie Holmes officiating. Burial will follow at Clover Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service Saturday.
