Guy D. Randolph, 86, passed away peacefully on October 14, 2023 surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 11, 1937 to Dorthea (Brown) and Sherman Randolph in Gandeeville, WV.  He attended Walton High School and joined the Army serving during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He began Randolph Construction Company in 1966 and built dozens of homes in Roane, Calhoun and Jackson Counties until the mid-1980's, while also running a successful cattle farming business.  In his early career, he owned a filling station in Spencer and raised prized Charolais cattle.  He was a board member for Farm Credit of the Virginias and in the early 2000's, he co-owned the Mineral Wells Livestock Exchange.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Macie Mace; two brothers, Chuck and Paul Randolph; two infant sons, Guy Jr. and David Randolph; and a granddaughter, Kaitlyn Hersman.

He is survived by brothers, Ken (Kathy) Randolph, Bob Randolph, Don (Altha) Randolph; sisters, Bessie Wilson, Barb Baumgartner, and Martha (Ernie) Alfoldi; son Richard (Jennifer) Randolph; daughters Sandy (Roger) Lyons, Patty (Ed) Peckham, Brenda (Mike) Garrett, and Sharon Randolph; grandchildren, Josh (Susan) Shingleton; Kelly Shingleton; Derek Garrett; Olivia (Jeff) Linger; Dustin Randolph and Michelle (Daren) McPherson; great grandchildren, Ella and Bryce Shingleton and Adeline McPherson, many nieces and nephews and friends.

Per his wishes, his body was cremated.  Friends may call at the Taylor Vandale Funeral home in Spencer on Saturday, October 21, 2023 starting at 2pm with a prayer at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hubbard Hospice House (1001 Curtis Price Way Charleston, WV, 25311) or St. Jude's (262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105).
