Ernest "Chick" Lynn Starcher, 75, of Spencer, WV passed away January 4, 2022 at his residence.

He was born January 25, 1946 in Roane County, WV and was the son of the late Howard and Dolly Mace Starcher.

Chick had worked at Willow Island in St. Mary's, WV as a laborer and the Roane County Courthouse as a custodian until he retired. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing games on his computer and spending time with his family. He also loved collecting coins, cookie jars, stamps and jewelry.

He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Janie Miller Starcher of Spencer; two daughters, Sheila Schoolcraft (Eric) of Arnoldsburg, WV and Sondra Quick (Mike) of Spencer; two granddaughters, Cassie Casner of Arnoldsburg and Candace Schoolcraft of Clay, WV; four great-grandchildren, Brennah, Bryson, Breslyn and Aylah Jane; and one brother, Frank Starcher (Cindy) of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Julia Anne Burnsworth and great-granddaughter Peyton Faith Parsons.

Services will be 1:00 PM ~ Friday, January 7, 2022 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer, WV with Pastor Brad Pettit officiating. Burial will follow at Swank Cemetery.
