ERIKA JADE DICKERSON WESTFALL, 36, of Spencer, West Virginia passed away August 5, 2016 at the Ohio State University Hospital. She was born August 6, 1979 in Parkersburg, West Virginia a daughter of Holly E. and Judith Hickman Dickerson of Spencer. She was a 1997 Roane County High School graduate and then pursued a nursing career. She obtained an associates degree with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, and then went on to obtain her CRNA with a Master's Degree in Clinical Health Administration. She worked for Roane General Hospital in the operating room as a Nurse Anesthetist. She was a member of the New Vision Trio and attended the Faith Baptist Church. Erika was intelligent, was a life-long learner and loved to laugh. She enjoyed her family, reading and the beach. In addition to her parents, Erika is survived by her husband, Jerry Westfall; a son, Colton Westfall, at home; two sisters, Amber Dickerson and her fianc, Rob Wille of Portland, Oregon, and Miranda Griffin and her husband, Mark of Spencer; her paternal grandparents, Holly B. and Dorothy Dickerson of Spencer; mother- and father-in-law, Tom and Alberta Westfall of Spencer; and nieces and nephews, Scarlet Jade, Addison and Blake. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Paul and Edith Hickman. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 9, 2016 at the TAYLOR-VANDALE FUNERAL HOME, Spencer with Rev. Smith Epling officiating. Burial will be in the Eventide Cemetery, Spencer. Visiting hours are from 5:00 to 8:00pm Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Premier Bank, 406 Main Street, Spencer WV 25276 for her son, Colton's college education.
