Emma Lou Starcher, 85, of Ravenswood, WV formerly of Spencer, WV went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 29, 2024 at Ravenswood Care Center Virginia Manor after an extended illness.

Emma was born November 25, 1938 in Spencer and was the daughter of the late Effie Reynolds Mace and Dorsey Bowers of Spencer.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her grandson, Cody Hedrick of Wilmington, NC; nephew, Jason Mace of Spencer; sister-in-law, Donna Mace of OH; and several aunts and uncles.

Left behind to cherish her memory is her husband, Jesse Starcher;  her daughters Sherri hardman of Spencer and Lisa Board of Sandyville, WV; grandson, Nick Hedrick of Sandyville; brothers, Ike Mace of OH, Ken Mace (Vicki) of Sampson, AL and Joe Mace (Marge) of Parkersburg, WV; and several nieces and nephews.

Extended family members include the staff at Ravenswood Care Center Virginia Manor; they were the most loving and caring nurses. Mom loved each of them, and they went above and beyond excellent care of her. They are as follows: Tammy Brotherton, Sara Brown, Mellanie Rhodes, Liz, Hailey, Anita Rhodes, Elizabeth Salser, Shena, Becky, Denise, Beth and Becky. If we left anyone one out, please know we love all of you very much.

Emma's wishes were to be cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
