Ella Mae Tallman, 85, of Looneyville, WV passed away December 11, 2023 at her residence.

She was born June 30, 1938 in Newton, WV and was the daughter of the late Grover McQuain and Nellie Parsons McQuain Courtney.

Ella was a homemaker and well known for being the community "Mom" and "Grandma." She loved her family, grandchildren, great-grandchild and her dog "Baby" very much. She enjoyed gardening, canning and her flowers over the years.

Left behind to cherish her memory are her children, Lena Tiller of Elizabeth, WV, Tena Tallman of Looneyville, Gina Miller (Allan) of Spencer, WV, Cammie Tallman (Jeff Dobbins) of Orma, WV and Glendol "Junior" Tallman (Genette) of Harmony, WV; sister, Rose Nichols (Jim) of Looneyville; brother, Frank McQuain of Looneyville; sister-in-law, Gladys McQuain of Tarriff, WV; special caregiver and grandson, Seth Miller of Looneyville; 16 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren and one on the way.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her step-father, Holly Courtney; loving husband, Glendol Ray Tallman; daughter, Tammy Lyn Miller; grandson, Daryl Miller; sister, Thelma Allen; brothers, Grover "Junior," George and Russell "Paul" McQuain.

A graveside service will be 1:00 P.M. ~ Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Clover Ridge Cemetery with Pastor Danny Whited officiating.
