Elizabeth "Janie" Jane Starcher, 75, of Spencer, WV passed away May 21, 2023 in Grantsville, WV.

She was born February 24, 1948 in Spencer and was the daughter of the late William "Bill" and Miriam Bailey Miller.

Janie enjoyed traveling, going to the beach and all of her flowers inside and outside at her house. She was a dental assistant at Brannon Dental Associates in Spencer, caregiver to many and a cancer survivor. She especially loved spending time with her family and friends and her special little dog, "Neekie."

Left behind to cherish her memory, are her two daughters, Sheila Schoolcraft (Eric) of Arnoldsburg, WV and Sondra Quick (Mike) of Spencer; two granddaughters, Cassie Casner (Daniel) of Grantsville, WV and Candace "Bree" Schoolcraft (Shawn) of Clay, WV; seven great-grandchildren, Brennah, Bryson, Breslyn, Alyah Jane, Amiyah, Lindsey and Rosie; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest "Chick" Starcher; sister, Shirley Mae Azinger; and brother, Robert Lee Miller; and a great-granddaughter, Peyton Faith Parsons.

Services will be 3:00 P.M. ~ Saturday, May 27, 2023 at Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer with Pastor Brad Pettit officiating. Burial will follow at Swank Cemetery in Roane County. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
